The WedFlex platform connects you with couples — but what keeps you booked, reviewed, and referred is how you show up. This isn't just a tips list. It's the difference between a WedFlexer who earns consistently and one who burns bridges on day one. Take notes.

Professional at a wedding

✓ DO

Show up early.

Weddings run on tight timelines. 15 minutes early is on time. On time is late.

Communicate proactively.

If anything changes — your ETA, your setup needs, anything — tell the couple ahead of time. No surprises on their wedding day.

Dress professionally.

Unless told otherwise, dress one step above the dress code. Blend into the event, not away from it.

Be the calm one.

Weddings are emotional. Something will go sideways. Your job is to stay composed and solve problems — not add to the chaos.

Over-deliver on your specific role.

You're not the planner (unless you are). Know your lane, and absolutely crush it.

Ask questions upfront.

Clarify expectations before the event — timeline, preferences, restrictions. The couple shouldn't be answering big questions on their wedding day.

Document your work.

Take photos of setups, finished products, or your station. Great profile photos attract more bookings.

Leave a great impression.

Thank the couple, wish them well, and ask if there's anything they need before you go. That's the stuff reviews are made of.

✗ DON'T

Don't be late. Ever.

There is almost no excuse that will undo the damage of showing up late to a wedding. Plan your route the day before.

Don't drink at the event.

You're working. Even if there's an open bar and guests offer. Hard no.

Don't overstep your role.

If you're the bartender, don't start critiquing the DJ's playlist. Focus on your job.

Don't bring uninvited guests.

You were booked as an individual. Don't bring a friend to 'help' without prior approval.

Don't badmouth other vendors.

Even if another vendor is dropping the ball, stay professional. You'll be judged by how you handle it.

Don't post without permission.

Respect the couple's privacy. Always get explicit consent before posting wedding content to your social media.

Don't accept last-minute changes passively.

If the couple significantly changes the scope on the day of, it's okay to have a calm conversation about expectations.

Don't ghost.

If something comes up and you can't make it, you must notify the couple and WedFlex immediately. Ghosting has serious consequences on the platform.

"The WedFlexers who thrive aren't necessarily the most talented. They're the most reliable, the most communicative, and the most professional. That's what couples remember." — WedFlex Founder & CEO

Follow these rules and the reviews will follow. The reviews will attract more offers. And those offers will build the income stream you signed up for.
